Time Control: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for all remaining moves, with a 30 second increment starting at move 1. Default time: 1 hour after scheduled start time

Who Can Enter?: Anyone can enter the FIDE Open.

Non English players
Must provide their FIDE Identification Number (FIN) at the time of entry. If you do not have a FIN, you must apply to your own federation for a FIN.

English players
Players with English FIDE nationality must be Gold or Platinum members of the ECF, or pay an additional £10 pay-to-play fee (add to cart when registering).

Byes: Untitled players can take up to 2 half point byes between rounds 1-8 provided they are requested before the end of the previous round.

The highest placed eligible player in the FIDE Rated Open not already qualified will qualify for the 2019 British Championships.
